Temporary Suspension of Australia Post Services to the USA
As of August 26th 2025, Australia Post - along with the vast majority of international postal services - has suspended all parcel post to the USA.
This is due to the implementation of US Executive Order 14324 on August 29th, which will impose a complex series of tariffs and import levies on goods imported into the USA from all countries around the world, and the removal of the USD $800 de minimis free import threshold.
Australia Post has indicated that this suspension is temporary, while they work to implement a system to pre-pay all new levies & tariffs to comply with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements.
In the meantime, Metrix will continue to offer shipping to the USA with DHL Express. While this is obviously a higher cost method of shipping it is substantially faster, and for the time being is the only method we can safely offer to our US customers.
PLEASE NOTE
DHL Express shipments into the USA are classified as Commercial by CBP, as such all relevant tariffs will likely be required to be paid by the receiver upon clearance into the USA.
At this time Metrix has no way of guaranteeing what these additional import charges will be.
