Cadmium Yellow Light.
This warm, golden shade is perfect for highlights, as well as mixing with other pigments to add vibrancy. Mix this colour with phthalo blue for a sharp lime green, or with ultramarine blue for a rich, earthy green.
Opacity: Opaque | Colour Temperature: Warm
Cadmium Yellow Medium.
Cooler and more opaque than our other yellow pigments in this line, this shade is a beautiful complement to the warmer Cadmium Yellow Light when used side by side.
Opacity: Opaque | Colour Temperature: Cool
Yellow Ochre.
One of the oldest pigments used by artists, this warm, rich yellow is great for color transitions on your palette, as well as creating dynamic skin tones with pigments such as reds, purples, and greens.
Opacity: Semi-Opaque | Colour Temperature: Warm
Cadmium Orange.
This pigment is the least light-fast of the lineup, but combined with other pigments, the cadmium orange is a fabulous tool for softening green tones, heating up yellow tones, or building a rich brown colour for your design.
Opacity: Opaque | Colour Temperature: Warm
Cadmium Red Medium.
This pigment is especially vibrant and warm due to its orange and yellow undertones. Combine with yellow ochre and white for realistic, fleshy hues of pink and brown.
Opacity: Opaque | Colour Temperature: Warm
Alizarin Crimson.
Alizarin is a cool, creamy red with magenta undertones. This shade alone is ideal for the deep shadows of roses, but shines particularly when mixed with another base.
Opacity: Transparent | Colour Temperature: Cool
Phthalo Blue.
A rich, cool blue that captures the colours of the deep sea. When mixed with a red pigment, this is the ideal shade for a luxurious, beautiful purple. Because this hue is less chromatic, it works very well in realism projects.
Opacity: Transparent | Colour Temperature: Cool
Ultramarine Blue.
This warm, powerful colour has an extensive and diverse range of application, and will likely be the most commonly used blue in your palette. Mix this shade with white for a sky blue, or with cadmium yellow light for vibrant, lime green shade.
Opacity: Transparent | Colour Temperature: Warm
Burnt Umber.
A warm, transparent brown that works wonders for building monochromatic designs or flesh tones with the gradual addition of white.
Opacity: Semi-Transparent | Colour Temperature: Warm
Raw Umber.
More neutral than Burnt Umber, this brown is great for the desaturation of a colour palette without changing the value. This shade of brown works great for landscape and wildlife designs.
Opacity: Semi-Transparent | Colour Temperature: Neutral
